I really want to see Japanese designers and animators actually put some work into what they're making. Open a book, open google, and do some research on the time period they are trying to portray. It's really not that difficult. It would make the film far more enjoyable, more real, and more dramatic.
Kuroshitsuji episode 21 annoyed me to no end with all those modern day guns. IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO DRAW A PISTOL FROM 1888? Are are the owners of these animation houses working their animators so hard that they can do nothing but sit at their desks and only draw what they know how to draw? Does no one want to even try to put effort into a historical period drama?
PISSES ME OFF.

So true. With the amount of time and research that students have to put into their historical work for design projects, you'd think that 'professionals' would kind of, hmm... do it better.
ReplyDeleteLol, Kuroshitsuji is full of historical inaccuracies. While Kaori Yuki did travel to Britain to research for her manga Godchild/Earl Cain, the creator of Kuroshitsuji probably just wanted the setting to be in Victorian England as an excuse to draw Gothic Lolita. XD
